The ambiance at Little Chem Chem is inviting, sophisticated, and brimming with genuine safari charm. Majestic elephants traverse between waterholes; cheetahs chase prey on the open plains; elusive leopards are occasionally spotted; and eland and lesser kudu inhabit the denser woodlands, while ions can be heard calling to each other at night as they roam the area. Additionally, wherever water is present, the birdlife flourishes in vibrant abundance.

The camp boasts stunning views of freshwater Lake Burunge, with the Babati mountain range and a breathtaking backdrop to the southwest. On the northeast, you will see the hills of Tarangire visible in the distance.
Accommodation
5 Luxury Vintage Tents
Nicknamed the sunrise camp, Little Chem Chem is located on the eastern side of the concession. This cozy camp offers five beautifully adorned vintage tents. Each tent includes a large bedroom (three with king-size beds and two with twin beds), a rocking chair, a study desk, a vanity area with a dressing room, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and flushing toilet.
Embracing an 'Out-of-Africa' ambiance, every tent also features a private fire pit, where you can relax by the flames while the sounds of the African night come alive around you.
1 Luxury Vintage Family Tent
A two-bedroom canvas family tent, ideal for families of up to 2 adults and 3 children.
This luxurious tent includes a large king-size bed in the main bedroom, while the children's room is furnished with two twin beds. Each room has its vanity area, dressing room, en-suite shower, and flushing toilet.
Activities
Private Game Drives on the Concession
At Little Chem Chem, each booking includes a private vehicle and guide (subject to availability). Explore the wilderness with an expert guide in a 4x4 Land Rover, accommodating five to eight passengers. With 16,000 hectares, you'll never encounter a crowd. Look out for elephants, leopards, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and zebras.
Sundowners on Lake Burunge
Enjoy the spectacular African sunset with sundowners on the edge of Lake Burunge, the perfect way to end your day.
Day Trips to Tarangire National Park
Explore Tarangire National Park in an open 4x4 vehicle. Choose a full- or half-day trip, including a picnic breakfast or lunch. Witness vast elephant herds and towering baobabs.
Big Game & Wildlife Walking
Join a skilled field guide on an exciting wildlife walk, tracking and identifying animal spoor. Get within 15 meters of majestic animals and immerse yourself in the wild.

South Africa Here We Come!!!
We had the inclination to take Rovos Rail through part of South Africa and found Safari.com online. Nicole Van der Merwe, the friendly agent who connected with us was amazing! We connected on WhatsApp and were handled with absolute care. Nicole answered our questions in detail and within one day, were were booked on the train in the Royal Suite! We look forward to completing the additional details of our fabulous train/safari trip with her! As we have never been to SA, Nicole and Safari.com took away ALL of the concerns we had about making our trip a reality. to tell you the truth, it has been a long time since we have been treated this way by such a wonderful travel firm. I would love to share my experience with Nicole. She has worked tirelessly to help me make my dream vacation a reality. I had no idea how to start planning. Nicole suggested the most wonderful South African resorts and safaris. No matter how many changes I threw her way it was always received with a happy, positive attitude. I live in Hawaii and even though we were on a 12 hour time difference she was always available to answer any questions or concerns. Her expertise, knowledge and patience are unmeasurable. First time to Cape Town
We are a group of ten friends traveling together to Cape Town for the first time. Safari.com was our top choice for travel agents.
