Bateleur Bush Camp, the oldest and smallest bushveld camp, is located roughly 40 km southwest of Shingwedzi on the Mashokwe Spruit and provides guests with an intimate experience of the northern Mopane/Woodland savannah, as well as outstanding game viewing. Named after the Bateleur eagle, often seen in the region. One of the most popular features is the game-viewing hide that overlooks the waterhole just outside the camp.
Each unit has its own braai (barbecue) facilities, and wood is available from the mini-shop at reception.

Bateleur Bushveld Camp is the best equipped of the bushveld camps in the Kruger National Park and is suited for those Guests who are looking for a real bushveld experience.
Bateleur Camp offers guests adventure in the form of guided bush walks and game drives, all under the supervision of well informed and keen professionals. Important to note is that children under the age of six are not permitted on game drives, and children under the age of twelve are restricted from game walks.
Facilities at the camp include information from reception, public telephones, a mini-shop at reception which supplies basic supplies such as wood and telephone cards (no foodstuffs), conference facilities, and a boma braai for the use of guests.
