Mokala provides ample activities for the outdoor adventurer, canoeing, early morning, day, sunset and night game drives (bookable at reception on arrival). Excursions to view ancient rock art painting and engravings. Stofberg Bird-hide is a birders dream. At Lilydale there is a swimming only for overnight guests as well as catch and release fly fishing on the Riet river. The fishing areas (De Krans and Kleinbek) are only accessible by high clearance 4x4.Picnic areas at Matopi and Kameeldoring both with braai facilities and ablutions blocks.
