Named after the Tsonga word for ‘cemetery’ that describes a type of elephant graveyard near the camp. Sirheni lies within the Mopane veld of the northern plains next to the Mphongolo River, together with the Sirheni Dam attracting many animals, birds, and other wildlife. There are two bird hides in the camp overlooking the dam.
· Four bed Cottages have 1 bedroom with a double or 2 single beds and a double sleeper couch/bench beds in the lounge area, including a bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen with a 2-plate gas stove and an outside verandah with a table and chairs, including an outside braai(barbecue) area. There are no electrical plug points in the cottages. Only fans provided.
· Six bed Guest Cottage consisting of two bedrooms, each with double bed or single beds and a double sleeper couch/bench beds in the lounge area and multiple bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove. The patio area has a table and chairs, with an outside braai area. There are no electrical plug points in the cottages. Only fans provided.
Sirheni Camp offers adventure in the form of guided bush walks and game drives, all under the supervision of well informed and keen professional field guides. Important to note is that children under the age of six are not permitted on game drives, and children under the age of twelve are restricted from game walks.
Facilities at the camp include activity information at the reception area, a public telephone, a mini shop at reception where supplies can be purchased, such as wood and telephone cards, but no food stuffs, a communal freezer, no electricity points in any of the units, each unit has its own braai (barbecue) area, and a boma (braai area) on the camp's perimeter. Cell phone reception is not available.
