Explore one of the ‘Seven Wonders Of The World’, Victoria Falls, and combine your stay with a rewarding safari experience in the African bush in Botswana's Chobe National Park. Enjoy luxurious accommodations, scenic safaris & many opportunities to take epic wildlife photographs.
Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is home to "The Smoke Which Thunders," recognized internationally as the majestic Victoria Falls. Located on the dramatic bend of the Zambezi River and perched under a canopy of jackalberry trees lies the sophisticated Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma. With unparalleled views from the deck of your private and luxurious Tree-house, you will be enchanted by the majestic sunsets and sounds of the bush.
During your stay at Sussi and Chuma, you will have the opportunity to visit the falls, venture out on game drives in the National Park, visit a local school and village, enjoy a sundowner cruise, or fish and canoe on the Zambezi River. These activities are included with your accommodation but there is so much more Livingstone has to offer with microlighting, abseiling, bungee jumping, and elephant-back safaris, to name a few.
Your journey then continues into the northern part of Botswana to a place called Chobe National Park. Home to the largest population of elephants in the world and big herds of cape buffalo, the Chobe Riverfront rarely disappoints. Sitting above the Chobe River and overlooking the vast flood plains, you will find Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero. This will be your retreat in the heart of the African bush with a combination of luxurious accommodation, superior service, and phenomenal cuisine. Your safari experience is paramount with morning and afternoon game drives.
This vacation is ideal for solo travelers, couples, friends traveling together, and families.
On landing at Livingstone Airport, you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Depending on your time of arrival, you may be able to sit down and enjoy a scrumptious lunch under the shade of the jackalberry trees. Later in the afternoon, you will enjoy a leisurely sunset cruise on the Zambezi River while sipping on your favorite drink.
You are spoiled for choice with the number of activities on offer. Perhaps you will spend your first day admiring the falls before visiting a local village and learning about their way of life. Your second day may be spent on a morning game drive followed by a two-hour canoe excursion on the Zambezi River in the afternoon. You are free to decide how you wish to spend the next two days.
Accommodation: Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma Lodge
After an early morning game drive and warm-hearted breakfast, you bid farewell to "The Smoke That Thunders" as you venture into Chobe National Park. You will spend the next two days focused on safari. With morning and afternoon game drives scheduled for the day, be sure to have your camera ready as you encounter a prolific amount of big game around the vast pan.
Accommodation: Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero
After a final morning game drive and breakfast, you leave the African bush behind and transfer back to Kasane Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Great advice, responsive and knowledgeable!
Pascal John at Safari.com guided me on different safari lodges (experience, rating), and most importantly knew about specials (buy 3 nights, get 4th for free) which allowed my family to secure a 5-star location at a more reasonable rate. Great advice, responsive and knowledgeable!
