Set off on a journey of a lifetime with an exclusive seven day Kenyan Safari Experience. You will be immersed in the breathtaking landscapes and thrilling wildlife encounters that Kenya has to offer.
On arrival in Nairobi, you will be met by a representative who will provide you with a short briefing on your upcoming safari before you set off in your 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser for your safari across Kenya.
Driving towards Tsavo West National Park, you will leave the hustle and bustle of the capital behind. Within kilometers of leaving the city, nature takes charge, and skyscrapers change into shrubs and open grassland. You will arrive in Tsavo West in the afternoon, just in time for your first game drive. You'll be surprised by how many animals you can spot on your first day!
Tsavo West is one of the biggest national parks in Kenya and is home not only to the Big Five but also to more than 600 different bird species and the rare Hunter’s hartebeest. You will spend your first night in the bush at Severin Safari Camp.
Your first morning in the bush starts early. The unfenced Severin Safari Camp is located near the Mzima Springs, a natural freshwater spring that turns the surrounding dry landscape into an oasis, attracting many animals. There will be enough time for a game drive to further explore this haven for wildlife before you head north to Amboseli National Park.
No day in the bush is the same, so you can look forward to seeing different landscapes and animals during your afternoon game drive in the iconic Amboseli near the border with Tanzania, known for its large elephant herds. After another exciting day, enjoy the hospitality of the Ol Tukai Lodge, your home for the next two nights.
It's time for game drives! Today, you will further explore Amboseli National Park and enjoy a meet and greet with the local wildlife. Leave the rest of the world behind and fully immerse yourself in this magical setting. Proud elephant herds march among acacia trees against the backdrop of Africa's highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro, while birds catch a ride on their backs.
The wetlands and open grass savannah are home to lions, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, and waterbucks. Together with your guide, you will not only find and observe the animals but also learn about their behavior and social structures. When the shadows grow longer, you will return to the Ol Tukai Lodge.
Enjoy views of the Amboseli wetlands and the majestic Kilimanjaro in the distance one more time this morning. Expect a change in scenery as you head north on your fourth day of your Kenya safari. Today’s destination is the tranquil Lake Naivasha, one of the few freshwater lakes in the Great Rift Valley. Naivasha is also known as the flower capital of Kenya, being home to many rose farms, the economic driver of the region.
After plenty of wildlife adventures in the past days, it is time to slow down. You can spend the afternoon at your own leisure. Book a boat trip on the lake to see hippos and the fascinating birdlife, take a walk across the lodge’s grounds, or simply stretch and relax by the pool. Take a few hours for yourself to reflect on your experiences and what is still to come. Your home for the night is the Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
After a relaxing day in Naivasha, another Kenyan highlight awaits: today, you will make your way to the world-renowned Masai Mara. Nothing says safari quite like the Mara, and for many locals and travelers, it is a symbol of the East African wildlife experience.
It is best known as the host to the "greatest show on earth," the Great Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras, following the rains in search of fresh green grass. But no matter what time of the year you visit the Mara, on today’s afternoon game drive, you can spot elegant giraffes, proud lions, the world’s fastest land animal, the cheetah, and many other species. On the banks of the Talek River and surrounded by trees, your home for the next two nights is the Tipilikwani Mara Camp.
Waking up in the middle of nature must be one of the ingredients for a perfect morning. Another being the prospect of a full day of game drives around the Masai Mara Game Reserve. You’re in luck and can enjoy both today. A full day in the Mara means you have enough time to explore different corners of the reserve, including a stop at the Mara River.
When the Great Migration passes through Kenya, the river is the site of dramatic spectacles as wildebeest and zebras plunge into the waters where hungry crocodiles await them. Spend the day enjoying the small moments that make every safari a unique experience and apply your newly acquired knowledge about the flora and fauna of Kenya. Return to the Tipilikwani Mara Camp for your last night in the bush.
After breakfast, you will leave the Masai Mara region heading back to the city. Your safari is coming to an end. The bumpy paths of the bush will turn into tarred roads, and in the afternoon, you will arrive in Nairobi. We will drive you to your hotel or the airport, where you can say your goodbyes to your guide and head home or continue your travels, taking with you many magical memories of Kenya’s favorite wildlife destinations.
