11-Day Cape Town, Kruger and Madikwe Safari

Day 1: Experience The Mother City — Cape Town  

Upon your arrival at Cape Town International Airport, a private transfer will take you to Kensington Place, your home for the next three nights. Nestled in the trendy suburb of Gardens, this boutique hotel offers a serene retreat with stunning views of Table Mountain.

Day 2: Cape Peninsula Full-Day Private Tour 

Your journey begins with a scenic drive along the famous Chapman’s Peak, stopping at the Cape of Good Hope to explore this iconic landmark. You’ll ride the funicular to Cape Point for panoramic ocean views before heading to Boulders Beach to visit its charming penguin colony. 

After a leisurely seaside lunch in Simon’s Town or Kalk Bay, continue to Hout Bay and the lush Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Return to Kensington Place in the late afternoon and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 3: Explore Cape Town at Leisure  

Spend your final day in Cape Town at your own pace, discovering the city’s iconic landmarks. Take the cable car up Table Mountain for spectacular views, stroll through the colorful Bo-Kaap district, or visit the historic Company’s Garden.

You may also want to explore the lively V&A Waterfront, where you’ll find shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions. For wine enthusiasts, a visit to the nearby Constantia wine region is an excellent option. Return to Kensington Place to relax before your adventure continues.

Day 4: Flight to Kapama Southern Camp  

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your direct flight to Hoedspruit. Upon arrival, a shared transfer will take you to Kapama Southern Camp, where you’ll check in for a three-night safari stay. 

In the afternoon, embark on your first thrilling game drive through the Kapama Private Game Reserve. Accompanied by expert guides and trackers, you’ll have the chance to spot the Big Five and other incredible wildlife. Return to the camp in the evening to enjoy a delicious dinner and unwind in the peaceful bush setting.

Day 5: Safari Adventures at Kapama Southern Camp  

Begin your day with an early morning game drive, where you’ll witness the bush coming to life as the sun rises. After a hearty breakfast back at the lodge, take some time to relax by the pool or indulge in a spa treatment. 

In the late afternoon, set out on another exciting safari drive to explore more of the reserve’s diverse wildlife. Sundowners in the bush add a magical touch to your safari experience before returning to camp for dinner.

Day 6: Full Day of Safari at Kapama  

Enjoy another full day of safari adventures at Kapama Southern Camp, with both morning and afternoon game drives. Your expert guides will help you track wildlife, offering insights into animal behavior and the ecosystem. 

Between drives, savor the lodge’s gourmet meals and relax in the tranquil surroundings. This is your opportunity to immerse yourself fully in the African wilderness and create unforgettable memories.

Day 7: Hoedspruit to Johannesburg  

After a final morning game drive, you’ll have breakfast at the lodge before transferring to Hoedspruit Airport for your direct flight to Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at the Intercontinental OR Tambo, conveniently located just outside the airport.

Day 8: Fly to Malaria-Free Madikwe Game Reserve  

After breakfast at the Intercontinental, you’ll take a charter flight from OR Tambo to Madikwe Game Reserve. Upon landing, a transfer will take you to Jaci’s Tree Lodge, where you’ll stay for three nights. The lodge’s unique treehouse-style suites offer a luxurious and immersive safari experience. 

In the afternoon, set off on your first game drive through the malaria-free Madikwe Reserve, known for its Big Five sightings and thriving wild dog population. End the day with a gourmet dinner under the stars.

Day 9: Safari at Jaci’s Tree Lodge  

Your day begins with a morning game drive, offering the chance to spot lions, elephants, rhinos, and more. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, then spend the rest of the morning relaxing in your treehouse suite or taking a dip in the pool. 

In the afternoon, head out on another game drive, where you might encounter the elusive cheetah or a pack of wild dogs. Back at the lodge, enjoy dinner and share stories of your sightings with fellow guests.

Day 10: Full Day of Safari at Jaci’s Tree Lodge  

Spend your final full day in Madikwe immersed in the magic of the bush. Enjoy two game drives — one in the morning and one in the late afternoon — with plenty of opportunities to see Africa’s iconic wildlife. 

Between drives, relax at the lodge and take advantage of the unique photographic hide, perfect for capturing stunning wildlife shots up close. End your day with a farewell dinner, savoring the lodge’s exceptional cuisine.

Day 11: Departure  

After a final morning game drive, enjoy breakfast at Jaci’s Tree Lodge before transferring to the airstrip for your charter flight back to OR Tambo Airport.
