4 Day Nsala Wilderness Camp Fly-in Safari

Overview

Nsala Wilderness Camp is located in the Umbabat Private Nature Reserve, sharing unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park, and the Timbavati and Klaserie Private Nature Reserves. The Kruger Safari camp is perched on an elevated area, overlooking a small waterhole frequented by elephants. Spend 3 nights at Nasala where you can experience game viewing opportunities with plenty of down time between game drives and walking safaris.

Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Nsala Wilderness Camp

Your journey begins with a scheduled flight from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit Airport. On landing, you will be warmly greeted for a private transfer to Nsala Wilderness Camp.  Located in a game-rich private game reserve sharing unfenced borders with the world-renowned Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve and the popular Kruger National Park. Nsala is an intimate and rustic bush camp hugged by marula and leadwood trees, and is perched on the banks of a dry riverbed overlooking a gentle s-bend in the meandering river.

Settle into your chalet offering a truly unique and authentic African safari experience in a beautiful and pristine wilderness setting.

In the afternoon you will head out with your guide for a game drive through the reserve in search of wildlife including the Big 5. Expect an uninterrupted game-viewing experience in an untouched African wilderness. Arrive back at the lodge in time to freshen up before enjoying a sumptuous dinner.

Day 2 & 3: Activities and Relaxation

An early morning wake up call starts the day, followed by a freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee and rusks before setting off on a morning game drive.

The Big Five are most certainly present, but that is only the start of the wildlife array that can be seen from the camp itself and while out game viewing each morning and evening. If you’re lucky, you’ll be sitting by the pool when the elephants come to drink! Kudu, nyala, waterbuck, duiker, giraffe, zebra, and impala are among the commonly seen plant-eaters, along with the iconic elephant, buffalo, and rhino. Leopards stalk through the thick bush, while prides of lion laze about between huge feasts, offering some excellent predator viewing. Twice daily game drives include drinks and snacks enjoyed in the wilderness, and special bush dining can be arranged on special occasions for some unforgettable eating.

Later in the afternoon, you will head out on your afternoon game drive, which may continue beyond dusk, and return back to the lodge to enjoy dinner and reminisce about the day’s sightings.

Day 4: Departure

After one final game drive and a warm heartening breakfast, you bid farewell to the African bush as you transfer back to the airport in time to catch your flight back to Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport. Here, you will connect with your onward travel arrangements.
